macMonday: Google Earth vs. Microsoft Seadragon iPhone Apps
December 22, 2008
Hello, SACGS readers! Sorry about the break that SACGS has been taking, we have all been very busy at SACGS so we haven’t been able to post. We may not be able to post on Christmas Eve/Day. I have a handful of things to post about so I might be able to post, and I will try to keep the site as active as possible. Well, let’s talk about the title for the post. Google Earth and Seadragon both have iPhone apps that show satellite images of the Earth. They have a ton of advantages and disadvantages. I like the Google Earth app because it is easy to navigate and change the settings, but Seadragon is hard to navigate and but it has very many different things that are not maps but are still cool to look at. Also, Seadragon is brighter than Google Earth.
In my opinion, if you could only get one, get Seadragon but both are free so I would get both.
Happy Holidays!
